Communique #1 - March 5
Jordie Lunn Bike Park - We are very excited to announce the building of the Jordie Lunn Bike Park and will be using the Rocky Mountain Enduro Event as a means to recruit volunteers to help with building some of the features, and to also help us fund raise. The project has already been approved with a budget of $1.4 Million and we have agreed to raise $300,000 to contribute to this project. If you are interested in being part of this exciting project, to volunteer, to donate, or to be a sponsor, email info@jordielunnbikepark for more information.
Update on Bearback Trail. We are well aware of some tree fell that is blocking Bearback and are working with the land owner and City of Langford to have the trees removed so that we are all clear. We have been given assurances that this will be done as quickly as possible and are hoping the trail will be cleared for this weekend.
Miniskirt to be removed: After some feedback from various riders, we will be removing Miniskirt from the list of stages and adding a new trail called "Sunset Blvd" which is located on the West Face of Skirt Mountain. We will be noting these changes and updating maps in the latest draft of the Tech Guide shortly.
T-Shirts: We found out a few days ago that our T-shirts and Custom Bear Mountain Cycling clothing are late for production in China and we are unlikely to have in time for the Event. The backlog is pushing deliveries into late April. We are currently looking for another vendor but the chances in getting apparel in time for the Festival is looking slim to none. We apologize for this inconvenience.
